High Point Networks breaks ground on facility
Voice, data network solutions provider building in West Fargo

High Point Networks, a provider of voice and data network solutions, will break ground today on a new 24,000-square-foot facility at 728 E. Beaton Drive in West Fargo.

The ceremony will begin at 4 and include words from Claudia Greenley of the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber, West Fargo Mayor Rich Mattern and High Point Networks President and CEO Tom McDougall. A social will follow.

The company was formed in 2003 when McDougall purchased a Minneapolis technology firm he helped establish in the Fargo area.

Since its early days operating in a rented office space in West Fargo, the company has grown from four to 39 employees and opened additional offices in Bismarck; Sioux Falls, S.D.; Billings, Mont.; and Alexandria, Minn.

The design of the building will essentially be a working model of the products and services sold by High Point Networks, "including video surveillance, physical access security, data center design, video conferencing, managed services and network security," McDougall said.

"It will also provide the capacity to expand our product offerings to include additional cloud-based solutions such as hosted telephone systems, data backup and recovery, as well as a variety of hosted customer applications," he said.

The estimated completion date for the $4.5 million facility is Aug. 1.
