Unified Communications companies to merge
On July 27 2017, Mitel and ShoreTel announced they have entered into a definitive merger agreement pursuant to which Mitel will acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of ShoreTel common stock.
"This is a very natural combination that enables us to continue to consolidate the industry and take advantage of cost synergy opportunities while adding new technologies and significant cloud growth to our business," said Mitel CEO, Rich McBee. "Together, Mitel and ShoreTel will be able to take customers to the cloud faster with full featured, cloud-based communications and applications."
High Point Networks's rich history as a ShoreTel Champion Partner and the recent acquisition of EarthBend LLC, an exclusive Mitel Partner, will significantly enhance our ability to support your business going forward. Our combined teams will provide more value and opportunities, as well as solid solutions for almost any business size. The combination of companies will provide a level of scale that will enable us to accelerate our level of service in the upper Great Plains.
"High Point Network's pending acquisition of the EarthBend VAR division in Sioux Falls will make our Unified Communications team at High Point Networks even stronger," said High Point Networks President & CEO, Tom McDougall. "With expertise from top telephony engineers from both Mitel and ShoreTel, we can say with great confidence your Unified Communications strategy will be top notch."
We are excited about this new venture and will continue to be transparent about the overall merger.
