Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)

What is DRaaS?

Downtime is a fact of life and can bring your business operations to a screeching halt. Every business needs a disaster recovery strategy to keep critical systems up and running when disaster hits. Our Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) is powered by state-of-the-art technology and the expertise of trusted BDR Engineers in our Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC delivers a fully-managed service, helping businesses reduce costs by ensuring you are ‘Always Connected.’

With DRaaS, your primary production environment will be continuously replicated to a local appliance and two highly secure cloud data centers. When downtime strikes, a fully replicated instance of your environment can be deployed locally, in the cloud, or hybrid with just a few clicks of a button.

What's Included with DRaaS?

Hardware Independent Restore on Virutualization - With this powerful approach, a recovery point image is created only upon restore, rather than as a part of the backup process. Because this process also requires fewer compute resources, more concurrent backups can be completed on a given set of hardware. These benefits are particularly important on larger devices with frequent backups and/or a large number of protected machines.

Inverse Chain Technology - This exclusive technology eliminates broken backup chains. Each time a backup occurs, data is converted directly into a virtual machine file and the most recent backup image becomes the base image.

Instant Virtualization - Server images can be booted on the local device or in the secure cloud with the click of a button – instantly. Should a local disaster occur, business can continue as usual in the cloud at no additional cost. During Instant Virtualization, backups continue as scheduled to both the Datto device and to the Datto Cloud.

Ransomware Detection - Our DRaaS solution uses proprietary methods for detecting the presence of ransomware. If ransomware is detected, our NOC is notified and recovery is simply a matter of restoring from a previous backup.

Backup Insights - Backup Insights is an exclusive technology, which enables users to identify file or application changes between any two backup points. We can easily find a deleted folder or determine which files ransomware or a virus has affected.

Hybrid Virtualization - Hybrid Virtualization is the combination of instant off-site virtualization and the single click connectivity of instant local virtualization. On-premise servers are protected on the local appliance and mirrored automatically to the Cloud, improving fault tolerance while reducing the reliance on bandwidth speed.

Advanced Screenshot Verification - Advanced Screenshot Verification test boots server images and provides disk integrity checking and script execution to ensure backups are viable. With Advanced Screenshot Verification, you receive daily peace of mind that restores will be successful.

End-to-End Encryption - All data is protected by AES 256 encryption locally, in transit, and in the cloud. Customers have the option to encrypt data locally and passphrases can be specified per appliance or per protected machine to meet compliance regulations.

Infinite Cloud Retention - We’ll retain your monthly backups in the cloud for as long as you remain a DRaaS customer!

What's Included with the NOC?

  • On-site maintenance during regular business hours

  • Overnight Priority 1 Issues, Priority 2-4 issues are covered next business day

  • Recovery of images or files

  • Remediation of failed backup jobs

  • Seed drive for initial cloud backup (if >1TB and low bandwidth)

  • Access to HPN validated software updates

  • HPN facilitation of RMA process per manufacturer SLA and installation of the RMA hardware

They said it.

Having a lean IT department, we do not have all the resources to fully manage the wide range of technology deployed within our organization. This is where High Point Networks comes in. They provide the necessary expertise to augment our internal IT staff for monitoring, maintaining, and upgrading our critical network, security, and server infrastructure. High Point Networks understands our needs and is able to provide a level of service that we expect out of our own internal IT Department. The staff are very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly to work with. Instead of having to look for more IT staff to hire and manage internally, we are able to focus on more strategic initiatives.
